Is That Really Kate Middleton {and Al Gore?} on New Royal Ring?!

Seriously there's a zillion elegant shots out there of the beautiful bride-to-be,and they go with this shot?whats more Wills himself doesnt exactly look like the future king we know and love here, either. In fact, several critics have already compared is picture with Al Gore.
Although, perhaps we are being to harsh on the Royal Mint because according to them, these less-than-life portraits were supposedly approved by wait for it,both QUEEN ELIZABETH and PRINCE WILLIAM!
Yikes!Sounds like maybe Kate should be making the decisions regarding anything related to the upcoming nuptials from here on out.

First of all,the princess to-be-set an example for the budget fashionistas every where and stopped her own closet.For4 the formal portrait William's bethrothed wore a white, long sleeve reiss fall 2009 dress that retailed for less than $300 and she chose a vintage inspired silk blouse from whistles' fall 2008 line for the casual close-up.Bummer that are no longer in stores, but there hope...
